Eurydice Network celebrates 45 years of supporting European education cooperation

2025 marks the 45th anniversary of the Eurydice Network.
Since 1980, Eurydice has provided reliable, comparable information on education systems and policies across Europe, supporting evidence-based policymaking, cooperation, and knowledge sharing among decision-makers, researchers, and educators.

Over four and a half decades, the Network has grown its National Units, expanded coverage across all education levels, and adapted to evolving policy needs. It has highlighted key challenges and opportunities in education while developing new tools to make complex data more accessible and useful.

Reflecting on this milestone, long-time analyst David Crosier says: “Working with inspiring people from all over Europe makes this work rewarding. We all share a commitment to education and to improving society.”

Florence Mondin, Head of the European Unit, adds: “Eurydice has been connecting knowledge and people for 45 years. This anniversary is both a celebration and a reminder of our mission: to keep supporting evidence-based policies for future generations.”
