The European Higher Education Area (EHEA) was established through the Bologna Process, which began with the Bologna Declaration in 1999. It is a collaborative effort involving 47 European countries, all working together to create more comparable, compatible, and coherent higher education systems across Europe.

The EHEA is committed to implementing key aspects of the Bologna Process, including:

(1) Establishing a three-cycle system of study programmes and degrees (bachelor, master, doctorate); (2) Supporting the recognition of qualifications across the EHEA, and (3) Promoting quality assurance processes that are fit for purpose.

These commitments help ensure that students and graduates from EHEA member states can move freely between countries for study or work, with their qualifications recognized across borders. More information is available at www.ehea.info.

This portal focuses exclusively on public scholarships for home students in the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) member states, typically offered by ministries, public agencies, public universities, or public foundations. It does not include information on mobility programs, is not intended for international students, and does not cover private scholarships.
